So Marvel thought it would be hilarious to release Thor The Dark World right in the middle of my Horror Week. Good going Marvel! Why not screw everything up for me as much as you can? Like that time you released The Avengers just as I was about to do my traditional joke review for The Film Dump’s 1st birthday. I’m sure they’ll find a way to screw up the Godzilla season I’m planning. Jerks. Yup, Marvel have it in for me, clearly. So, Thor The Dark World is out in the UK and I just got back from seeing it. So here’s my review… right in the middle of Horror Week. Click the link.

Don’t do many trailer posts these days but I’m a comic book geek and so I feel compelled to post this one. The Thor 2 trailer hasn’t done a massive amount for me, although I will see it next week, but this trailer is awesome. They clearly understand that Captain America isn’t about supporting the interests of the American Government, regardless of what they are, but more about upholding the core tenants the U.S. was founded on. Some of the best storylines in the comics is when he’s going against his own employers to show what he believes is the true American way of life. This sequel seems to be tapping right into that and it looks like it’ll be doing a better job at showing the conflict between what SHIELD stand for and what they actually do better than the Agents of Shield series is. Anyway, click the link for the trailer and chuck some words in the comments below!
Well isn’t that odd, I’m reviewing two films with the same name one after the other. I hope no-one got confused or thinks I did that on purpose. Just so you know, this review right here is for Marvel’s The Avengers, or Avengers Assemble as they’re calling it here in the UK. Apparently they actually think their core audience is aware of the 60s TV series that my last film review was based on. So I guess if you’ve found your way to this review via a search you’re probably already aware of just how good this film has turned out. Which I guess makes me reviewing it pointless then. Oh well. Bye!
Fine I’ll review it!

Seeing as it is The Film Dump’s first ever birthday today I thought I’d put together two fun little top fives. The first will be a top 5 of my favourite films that I have watched over the last year. The other will be the absolute worst films I have watched over this last year. I’ll be honest, thanks to my love of a good ran I’ve probably seen more bad films over this last year than I normally would have. Obviously it’s all in the pursuit of providing some form of entertainment for anyone that happens to stumble across this blog whilst searching for pictures of Chris Evans with his shirt off. So, click the link for the best & worst of The Film Dump’s first year!
It’s April 25th. It’s one year since The Film Dump was birthed onto the interwebs and so I have decided it would be appropriate to review something special. A film people will remember for years… for being a great big pile of balls. Yes, The Avengers is a terrible, terrible film. Shame cos the 60s TV series it was based on should have been easy to translate onto film. What? You thought I meant The Avengers as in Marvel’s The Avengers with Iron Guy and Captain Superman and all that? Oh, sorry.
If you’re looking for my review of Marvel’s the Avengers then click here. Or just got to the next review up…
Here’s something a little different this week. Instead of the usual random assortment of trailers this week we’re getting around 20 minutes of behind the scenes B-roll footage from The Avengers. Only 2 weeks to go until the summer blockbuster season gets kicked off to a start with Marvels mightiest heroes. I’m keeping an eye out for the trailer to the Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Bruce Willis starring Looper to become available too today so that will be added once I see it. For now, click the link for some Avengers based fun!
Can you tell that I’m running out of Avengers images to use at the top of the posts yet? Well, I suppose there is about 1 billion images on the interwebs but but finding ones that aren’t just a cluttered mass of random Marvel heroes? That’s the tricky part. Anyway, today I bring you the Japanese trailer for The Avengers, the new trailer for Battleship and some random retro goodness.
So yeah, there’s a new Avengers trailer out and it’s pretty sexy. Looks like this will be the top popcorn flick of the summer for sure. On the flipside I’m going to post a trailer for the new Adam Sandler film, That’s My Boy, which looks terrible. Really really terrible. Also a new John Carter (Of Mars) trailer. I guess I’ll post something retro too when I can think of something. Click the link dawgs!!
